The focus of CEHO is ‘Give education Give hope’ as we recognized the vital role education plays in helping break the cycle of poverty. Our community is located in Kien Sangke commune, which is about 40 km east of Siem Reap town. Our community is far from the city so basically there is no English or Computer school. Some people send their kids to the city because only there they can learn English and computer. But as most families in our community are poor and earn less than $50 USD a month, priorities such as food and shelter take precedence and education is often out of their reach, ​even though the parents know that education is the ‘key’ to poverty.

CEHO offers free education in English and computer, school bags and all resources necessary for their education. Around 300 children are enrolled and classes operate on a rotational basis, giving every student the opportunity to attend class each day. Our teachers each conduct six classes daily with classes consisting of approximately 30 students. ​We also offer clean water for students to drink when they come to school.

As the town of Siem Reap is a major tourist destination attracting almost three million visitors every year, competence in English and computer will increase the students’ opportunities for employment in the future so they can support themselves and their families, as well as continuing higher education.
